About Protein Bars & Shots
Frequently asked questions
When can I eat protein bars after gastric sleeve surgery?
Protein bars are a solid food, so most bariatric programs add them once you are cleared for regular textures. Until then, protein shots and liquid protein packets are a common choice. Your surgeon or dietitian sets the timing.
Which has more protein, a protein bar or a protein shot?
It depends on the product. In this collection, Ohana Pro shots have 30g of protein and Inspire Protein & Fiber Bars have 15g, so check the label on each item.
Do protein bars melt in shipping?
Many bars in this collection are marked heat sensitive and can soften in high heat. Storing them somewhere cool helps them keep their shape.

"I am a die-hard marshmallow lover, though I swore off them after surgery. These, in small doses are the ultimate treat for me!!! My 5 year old granddaughter even chose these over regular marshmallows at our last bonfire, to my conflicted reaction of joy and dismay (MY marshmallows!). Thank you for the option."
