About Nutrición deportiva

This collection covers products for active people: amino acids, pre-workout and energy powders, creatine, protein shots, ready-to-drink protein shakes and a few patches. Protein is the main focus after weight loss surgery, so protein shots and shakes sit alongside the performance products.

What to look for

Protein per serving: BariatricPal 30g Whey & Collagen Complete Protein Power Pro Shots, and VidaFuel with 16 g of collagen and whey protein in a 2 oz shot.
Caffeine and stimulants: energy items such as Celsius and NOW Instant Energy B-12 are included, so read the label.
Type: amino acids are the largest group, followed by energy and pre-workout and creatine.
Diet tags: many items are tagged gluten free, and some vegetarian or vegan.

Ask your surgeon when you can return to exercise and which supplements, if any, fit your plan.

Brands include Optimum Nutrition, NOW and AllMax.
